    I agree, Locky...

    Focus should definitely be on the studies, why is why I think phones should be banned after the last bell in the morning, able to be used during lunch (with permission), and not be used until school is out.

    I don't see any reason to ban them from school functions where parents are present, such as sports, or before or after school plays, or during other after-school activities, as long as they have permission form the teacher/teachers in charge.

    Yes, calculators used to be banned, but now you can use them in taking PSAT and SAT tests...times have changed...
