I agree that it's early to get too excited. But I like that they've given up the spurious "executive privilege" maneuver--Bush is no longer the executive. It's also Rove's lawyer who said it--Rove could change his mind, or as you pointed out, he could lie. (Though if he does, he's at risk for perjury...)

Rove is the most despicable propagandist ever to grace the halls of the white house. He and his fellow criminals, Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Libby, et al should all be sentenced to life at Gitmo! "torture" allowed since they don't think it's torture.

But i would rather see them all put in a combat unit with the same armor and flak jackets they sent our troops in,in Iraq for a year and then Afghanistan for a year..Then if they were injured, which most surely would happen..if it didn't then extend their tours until it did..then make them go through the same VA system the rest of us have to use.
After that they should spend a year in Gitmo, with no contact at all with the outside world. They then should be made to work at the local taco bell so they know how people have to live to survive..then they should be spied on continuously (under the patriot act) and then....and the list goes on. -

I doubt he would "sing." He would be smug, disrespectful to the process, & would have lots of backing by the corporate media & CONS in general. If there were absolute proof of wrong doing against him, the political 'wrong' would still sing his praises & 'blame Clinton'.

Excellent post, You made so many great points.
As I have posted before on Political Machine, we need to locate handcuffs small enough to fit Rove's tiny, cloven hooves. Then we need a second pair made up for Chaney.
Oh to have been a fly on the wall when Karl called the white house last week to 'check' and see if his executive cover-my-asss still was any good. I imagine silence on the other end of the phone, followed by shocked giggles which melted into a breathless hysterical laughter, as the phone was dropped onto the floor so the person on the white house end could roll about more freely. good times.
Oh and I love your name! Rool, roool, rooool in zee hay! lol! -

BETWEEN PRESIDENT BUSH AND VP CHENEY IS BIG
FOR THE PRESIDENT WHO WOULD NOT PARDON LIBBY.
THE WAY I SEE IT CHENEY TRIED TO HIGH JACK
THE BUSH PRESIDENCY AND DID NOT SUCCEED BECAUSE
HE 'MISUNDERESTIMATED' PRESIDENT BUSH AS DID
HIS CRITICS. IN MY MIND, PRESIDENT BUSH IS
THE GREATEST PRESIDENT IN MODERN HISTORY BECAUSE
HE CHANGED THE WORLD WITH THE OUTSER OF SADDAM.
