Chris Brown had been involved in a felony battery investigation. After his surrender, detectives interrogated him over the incident. LAPD officer Karen Smith who gave out the news about Brown's surrender said that the young singer was arrested around 6.30p.m. PST and was later booked for criminal threat at 7.41p.m. He was released after a bail for $50,000 was posted. The alleged battered victim in this case was his girlfriend Rihanna .
