Yet it is sadly under attack in the country of its birth.

Although it’s conservative talk-show hosts who are digging foxholes and donning gas masks, this is not a liberal-versus-conservative issue.

It’s a free-speech, free-marketplace issue.

Censorship proponents proudly pontificate their "tolerance" and pledge they “only” want “both” sides heard, yet they cannot hide their Goebbelesque subterfuge from me.

In convincing tones, they mock our innate B.S. detectors by telling us they only want balance, but their true objective is to get as many conservative talk-show hosts off the air as possible.

Want proof?

If radio stations are forced by the government to halve their conservative offerings, then that means some conservative commentators will lose affiliates carrying their radio shows, thereby causing a reshuffling in which some hosts will be dropped.

This would result in the diluted message of what censorship proponents call "opposition media."

So much for tolerance.
