Posted By innahalexis-28 9 months, 3 weeks ago in Science & TechnologyCame from the Latin word, Stannum, with chemical symbol of Sn, Tin is one of the seven elements in the periodic table that are classified as "other metals" and are located in groups 13, 14 and 15. These elements are ductile and malleable but are not the same as the transition elements. It does not exhibit variable oxidation states, and its valence electrons are only present in its outer shell.
