Do Blind People Dream »

Posted By STONERS 9 months ago in News

It would seem like a sensible answer and it is. Everyone dreams right? Blind people do dream. If they see any visual images depends on when they went blind. If you went blind before age 5, you do not see visual images. Our dreams come from what we live in life so for people blind from birth they have no visual images. Their dreams are rich with sensory, audio and emotional senses. There dreams come from tastes, smells, touches, hearing. Their experiences can be from sound, textures, and temperatures. This is known as “kinesthetic awareness.”

Oh that was such a nice story. Its odd I had this friend who was blind from birth, she could do everything that we can do, even dance because she could feel the vibrations under her feet of the music, when she walked in her home she never had to feel around or move anything. Which I can remember she had a son and she had told me that she had a dream of him in color, she also told me in her dream he got hurt on his upper arm and a couple days past her son got burnt while camping out with his father, it just so happened it was on his upper arm. I wonder if she dreamed in color and that her son got hurt, was it someway of warning her ahead of time?

Wow. That is something I never thought of untill now. Wether or not blind people dreamed, and if they did, did they see shape, colors, and other textures. Great article. Kind of a, how to see in the eyes of other, even if they dont see at all.

What a vivid thought. Dreams are often wishes and maybe blind people dream of seeing. Sometimes I wish I could just live what I dream and see what I live.

            wow that was very interesting
i never really thought about this topic until now.
its very cool. people think its the end of the world and all blind people are depressed but i dont think that i think it can be cool 2 be blind because then you have extra senses
their much stronger and not much people who are able to see have that so i think its interesting in a way
