They say if our country goes bankrupt, then our paper dollars will be worth very little to nothing. You won't be able to buy much with our dollar if that happens.

Some say they only thing that will be worth anything will be GOLD. So, here's my question. If our paper dollars become worthless, then how do we buy the things we need? Also, if we had some gold bullion, how the heck can you go to the store and buy food or anything with a piece of gold metal? I don't get it, does anyone here know? Does the gold need to be in the form of gold coins to buy things? I hope this isn't a stupid question...-

The key is the by gold now for $940 per ounce. Then when inflation inevitably rears its fugly head, convert that same ounce back to $10,000 or $30,000 or $100,000 dollars. You'll then be able to buy a wheelbarrow to carry it and maybe still have a little left over to go shopping at the government commissary for groceries.
