I have a couple of mint Krugerrands and was Just wondering if anyone knew if they were selling at a premium and if the date(early 80's) of the coin made any difference in value.

This is GREAT! When the economy crashes I can charge one gold coin for every bag of wheat.

They say if our country goes bankrupt, then our paper dollars will be worth very little to nothing. You won't be able to buy much with our dollar if that happens.

Some say they only thing that will be worth anything will be GOLD. So, here's my question. If our paper dollars become worthless, then how do we buy the things we need? Also, if we had some gold bullion, how the heck can you go to the store and buy food or anything with a piece of gold metal? I don't get it, does anyone here know? Does the gold need to be in the form of gold coins to buy things? I hope this isn't a stupid question...

read: the price of gold and silver are not going "up." it just takes more of our (inflationary) dollars to purchase the same amount of goods then it did before. the u.s. dollar is declining in value.
