Secret Coleman-Lawyer E-Mails Reveal Intentional Hiding Of Witness »
Posted By bluetexasvalley 9 months ago in Political NewsAll hell just broke loose in the Minnesota courtroom, with Al Franken's lawyers catching Team Coleman in the act of yet more concealing of evidence -- and they've now made a motion to totally strike the Coleman camp's claims about double-counting of ballots, which the Coleman camp has hoped to use to subtract over 100 votes from Franken's lead.

You might remember that on Wednesday, the Coleman team was caught having withheld notes given to them in early January by Pamela Howell, a Republican election worker in Minneapolis. (Note: Minnesota precinct workers are selected by partisan identification, and then buddied up across party lines to keep it running smoothly and honestly.) The court then struck the witness' testimony, relating to double-counting of votes -- but then turned around yesterday and reversed themselves, after the Coleman team said it had been an honest oversight -- that there was no bad faith involved.
This morning, Franken lawyer David Lillehaug was restarting his cross-examination of Howell, and inquired as to whether there had been any further communications between herself and Coleman. The answer was yes -- and Coleman lawyer Tony Trimble then had to cough up some private e-mails he'd sent to Howell in early January. -

Franken won when votes were double counted on the recount and many absentee ballots were not allowed to be counte3d by Franken's team. The double count comes from the ballots that would not go through the counting machine so somebody had to make a duplicate ballot and then forgot to mark the bad ballot. Doing that has more people voting in a couple places then are able to vote.

This is the problem with paper ballots. They can be messed up. That was why the rush to the voting machines. They will only give one answer every time asked. They are extremely hard to compromise if the techs working on them know what they are doing.

Coleman probably wants to, but he's toeing the line for the GOP because they want to delay Franken's ability to vote as long as possible.
Reply
Keep in mind this is the same GOP that threatened all of its members on the stimulus package telling them that if they voted for it, the GOP would run a different candidate against them when they came up for re-election. So much for senators and congresspeople having the right to vote as they see fit without reprisals from their party. -

Why does the left ignore all of the irregularities in counting these ballots. Mor ballots than people voting. Absentee ballots that would favor Coleman not allowed to be counted. Ballots appearing like magic from a trunk of a car. And the liberals ranted how the voting machines could be fixed. I kept saying that paper is much easier to fix. Looks like the fix was in in this election.

The longer it's postponed, the BIGGER the whole party will be once it's official... it will have transcended local in Minnesota to a national "fest" for a lot of people.

It seems that the Obama camp doesn't have any problem getting gop members to break ranks... none of them could really hold any allegiance to a sunk/sinking ship. -

Typical of liberals. Promoting a bad comedienne for the Senate. All of the dubious things that went on in counting that election. Ballots came out of a trunk. More ballots in several places than people voting. And now I think I know why the liberals hated the voting machines. Thay could not play hanky panky with the paper ballots.

Al Franken wrote three great books I still dust off every now and then for a good dose of liberal humor:
Reply
Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot (and Other Observations)
Lies (and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them): A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right
and
The Truth (with Jokes)
I've noticed one thing. The right hates Al Franken because he uses humor to bash some of their most sacred cows (BTW, have you SEEN Rush lately?).
But one thing I have noticed in my years of discussing these books with some of my more conservative friends is that every one of the observations Franken makes about conservatives in those three books is true.
...and they hate him for several reasons:
1. They understand the humor but they do not like it.
2. They don't understand the humor (but they know they don't like it!).
3. They believe Franken is evil.
4. He's a liberal.
5. He's a liberal Jew (which is about the same the anti-Christ to the Zionist Christianists).

I'm not a big fan of Franken and I thought the Minnesota DFL majority made a lousy decision in endorsing him. Still, he's better than Coleman (it would be difficult to be worse). Neither candidate will give up easily, and I doubt that this will be resolved before summer.

Garbage is, what garbage does !!!!!

The GOP has become garbage over the last 42 years. They won in the late 60's with their lies and Bull Crap message about being conservatives. They have continued the lies and made them overwhelmingly obvious.
They are not conservatives in any way. They are seeking to be conservators with power to ruin the nation.
Fire them and put some real conservatives in office like Teddy Roosevelt !!!!!
I can't stand the freaking idiots who think they are conservatives when they are just plain greedy idiots with no idea of what a true conservative seeks.
If they were to return to the party of Teddy Roosevelt. Not only would I join them, I would actively support and help them.-

And you think the irregularities in this election are something to be proud of. More ballots in places than people voting and in a couple that are able to vote. Then the disallowing of absentee ballots by Franken's group. They counted the groups that were favoring Franken and then stopped counting any more of them. Ballots coming from somebodies trunk. This has a very serious odor to it. But liberals just want to ignore those things.

One of the things Al said he'd do if he got elected to senate and is now being prevented from doing...is taking Senator Paul Wellstone's place on the committee that helps veterans and service men and women.

I hope this ends soon so Senator Franken can get to work in Washington. -

Great story!

I propose we should start writing obituary of the Republican Party.
Let us make it a group effort - let each one of us write a sentence. Then the next writer should add his sentence to it, and then the next one and then the next one.
I am pretty sure we can create an evidence-based obituary that would become a definitive document.
Here is my sentence:
"The Republican Party, as we knew it, died a slow and painful death because of lack of decency, deception, obfuscation and misuse of power."
Peace and Blessings!
