Why American Muslims don't join al-Qaida »
Posted By aStorygirl 10 months, 1 week ago in Political NewsPart of a series of essays exploring why the United States suffered no follow-up terror attacks after 9/11. The record stands in stark contrast to that of the United Kingdom, which since 9/11 has incubated several very serious terrorism plots inspired or directed by al-Qaida.

The Koran says to kill those that are not willing to be converted. However, the new breed of muslim knows that they can wait and by their time and use laws to enforce islamic ideals. Either way, the religion of Islam is the biggest sham ever. You can go back to the old testament all you want about the split, Jesus would have never supported killing opponents. His righteous judgments will happen...(read Revelation).

The article is well written, laying out several theories that, I think, all carry weight and are important (perhaps intertwining) factors.

In many off the record conversations with Detroiters and Dearbornites, I detected no great loss of love between the members of the black community and those of the ME. Cultural and language misunderstandings, along with economic competition, seemed to be the key factors.
At one time I employed a home health aid who told me that she was taught to hate the "white devils" by her father, a very prominent Black Muslim. We seemed to get along okay. I think the freedom to associate and share these secrets helps heal old wounds.
I also work with and associate with small business owners from, or descendants of, Middle Eastern heritage. By sharing honest respect and treating others as I would family, I've been called a "good man". I'll just take it on face value as a compliment.
One to one, so much can be accomplished. We all have to make efforts to expand on our thinking, and our projected images that we are, or they are, just "one of the good ones".
It's a two way street.-

That kind of interaction is almost always what happens when individual people interact. All too often the "scare" stories are nothing more than manipulations by corrupt politicians attempting to manipulate us for their own prower and profit.

As an example, the FBI has stepped up efforts to reach out to community leaders in the Minneapolis region, where young Somali-American men have disappeared and are believed to have gone to Somalia to fight with militants. In one instance, Shirwa Ahmed left his family in Minnesota and blew himself up in one of several coordinated suicide bombings in Somalia last October.
FBI spokesman E.K. Wilson said that since the disappearances of the young men, the bureau has worked to expand relationships with community elders, religious leaders and others active in the local Somali population, which numbers about 80,000.
"We want to make them feel comfortable with us," said Wilson. "We want them to come forward with concerns about their young people. We share the same concerns. We want to help, and we need people with concerns to come forward with information."
Al Qaeda remains the number one terrorist threat to the U.S., but experts agree that homegrown terrorists inspired by al Qaeda and other related groups are an increasing threat. -

"Why American Muslims Don't join al-Qaida"? Thanks to Quranic scriptures 3:28 and 16:106 (which allow a Muhammadan to lie), and, Muhammad saying "war is deceit", NO one, including Muhammadans, can tell who would join Al-Qaeda and fight in the cause of Allah, or not. I'm thinking that because you only get a few American Muslims joing Al Qaeda, like John Walker Lynn, is because a LOT of Muhammadans in America are only Muhammadan in name only. They join Islam because they want to feel like they belong to something, like the reason why people become Mormon, OR, they see Christianity as racist for allowing the enslavement of blacks during the pre-Civil War times. They don't realize, though, that not ONLY is slavery allowed in Islam, but, a slave master can rape, I mean, "have sex", with his slave girl who is MARRIED (see Quran 4:24).

Hope we can all grow up soon, realize we share all resources and that our 'beliefs' are subjective. This should allow all to permit each to believe what they want. In the 'end' only the truth will be known and our little interpretations and our big ego's will not be considered. The thought must be integrated with nature - even if we do not comprehend this. All we have to do is accept that we share a reality here. We do not need to prove we are right or agree. We need to respect each other and learn how to co-operate in order to work together so that our race may survive.
