Its interesting that you are comparing one talk show host to another. Rush is nothing more than a talk show host. If he is the visionary for the Republican party then good for all of us. They'll never hold power again. Keep flapping your lips, Rush!

You have to give Rush Limbaugh credit. His formula to make his loyal listeners mad - works. He even points out how amazed he is when they keep falling for it! Click the above video and hear him talking candidly about his best listeners who are the ones that lack confidence and come seeking out Limbaugh’s bravado and cockiness to shore up their own lack of true opinions on issues. Is that why all congressional Republicans voted the straight-Rush Limbaugh ticket against the stimulus package? Every single Republican voted the I HOPE HE FAILS! policy that Rush has called for. Disgraceful!
Reply
Rush carefully screens the calls and makes sure that any caller is on point about something said on the Rush Limbaugh show. He must lead them. They must follow. He doesn’t tolerate callers who want to talk about other shows or other issues. He claims that he sets himself up as the expert and all conversation revolves around HIS reactions to events. According to him, his ditto-heads are made up of people with “fruitful” imaginations who easily take whatever bait he has to offer. It’s just that easy. Does he REALLY believe the stuff he says? Rush’s reply:
That’s up to you to figure out!

I find it very odd how the democrats are so hateful towards people like Rush and Palin. They go on this strange rampage of hatred, joined by most of the lefty hateful media and the freaks in Hollywood. I can't think of any time when the Republicans do that. I guess all this hate stuff is reserved for hypocrite democrats. HATE AWAY DEMMIES...

I hate what Rush does. He goes on the radio and makes people mad about what may well be very outrageous issues, then he attempts to direct that anger at Democrats alone. He does not direct it at the corrupt Republicans, the people who, if he did target, might actually be removed by his listeners, the ones who vote Republican.
Reply
He foments hatred, encourages it, nurtures it. And then he's surprised that Democrats have strong reactions to his show? -

Letterman is the biggest of bone heads and the king of the iceholes. He takes icehole to a whole new level. He gets paid millions to act like a jerk and insult people. I know lots of people who do that better than him for nothing. I stopped watching him years ago. And Letterman is pretty stupid to think that Rush is going to let this go unanswered.

Poor Letterman, there was a time when I thought he was humorous but no longer. He has become a stale, stagnant, misfit that belongs in a museum with other un-funny, comic dinosaurs. White sox and a double breasted suit, night after night, how gauche. The only thing he will be remembered for is his top ten lists. And the #1 meaningless dork, David Letterman.

Not everyone can pull off that eastern European mafia look the way Rush does, with the black jacket and black shirt open a few buttons from the top...how does he know we're all dying to see more of his macho-ness?

Pathetic when a moron republican tool follows a drug addicted closet homosexual divorce three times, porcine, lying, slobbering, racist, fired from every job he ever had, uneducated college dropout, draft dodging, chicken hawk coward, who earns 40 million a year, despite sitting on a bleeding an-al cyst from receptive an'al sex, paid to him by a right wing christian fundamentalist who owns a empire of radio and tv stations.
Reply
Pathetic that anyone would by loyal to this joke of a human yellow bellied fat closet homosexual coward, but it displays the lack of character and brains of the joe the non-plumber republicans.
Pathetic.

BIG difference between Limbaugh and Olbermann. Olbermann SHOWS you his facts to back up what he says. Limbaugh just makes $hit up and causes you to hate hate hate. One of these days some nutcase Limbaugh lover, will ACT on that hatred that Limbaugh created and go out and kill somebody. At his trial it will come out that he was 'inspired' by Limbaugh.

The biggest problem with this article (or video) is that Rush Limbaugh is not a Republican, nor does he claim to be. As a matter of fact, he's on the air at the moment speaking out against Bush, campaign finance reform, and the GOP.
Reply
I think people who try to catagorize Rush tend to overstate his position...or perhaps they don't listen to him at all.-

So why did Steele appoligize so quickly to Rush? Is is because Steele realized that Rush has much more influence over the people who now make up the Republican party base than the offical elected party chairman?
Reply
Rush's values are now the Republican values.
Republicans today will be called "Rush Republicans" tomorrow. -

"Mullah Limbaugh is a cleric of AM - espousing and preaching the values of neocon hatred to his rural base of undereducated, isolated, backward thinking obstructionists.
Dittoheads are the American Taliban led my Mullah Limbaugh."
But you forgot to mention he's a college dropout, uneducated porcine swine, closet homosexual sporting a bleeding rec-tal cyst he used to draft dodge, a drug addict, a lying racist coward.
Where's the mia culpa ala Jimmy Swaggart?

The humor here today is that, by coming to this thread, you are helping Rush Limbaugh gain more legitimacy. Especially people such as antibrainwasher, who only uses name-calling.

People who haven't listened to Rush are asking me why the President and liberals are so unhinged by him. All I tell them is this, "They hate him because he beats the crap out of them for 3 hours a day."-

Or it could be that he regularly mis-quotes them then develops a false premise based on the mis-quote,and then rants about the truthfulness of his false premise for 3 hours. -

ROFLMAO and yet right up above you say

So lets review he disagrees with liberals which would infer hes a conservative which would mean hes a Republican. Hmmmmmm Pick which side of the fence you're on for this one, you seem to like to switch pretty regularly.

Limpballs rants are reminiscent of McCarthy's rants about Communists. We all know what happened to him, so let Rush rant and rave. Poke him once or twice a week to keep him going. Eventually he'll either lose his audience or he'll run for office and show himself to be who he truly is, a dunce.

As long as there are millions of paraniod mindless so call conservative zombies listening to his fearmongering hypocrital repeditive rants over and over again, then Rush will continue to speech into that microphone untill his fat body is unable to move his diaphram in order for him to breath.

I take big issue with Rush.

One does not have to hope for the failure of a statist lurch toward a command economy. Anyone with any intellectual honesty and just a modicum of a clear-eyed view of history will know that it will fail. The problem is that failure takes us all with it. My hope is that the lurch will be circumscribed, and if the economy steadies, eliminated. However, I despair of that, for "a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth!" -
