On Years of Refusal , Morrissey does what he's always done best: rail at the world. Depending on his mood at the time (and he's a very moody guy), these outbursts have been couched in the music of misery, as buoyant jangle-pop, or as full-throttle invectives. It is in this latter mode that Morrissey operates throughout his latest album. Ol' Mozzer hasn't rocked this hard since 1992, when he and his backing band whipped up some heavy glam tunes for Your Arsenal .
