    I heard recently that weight training was more effective at burning fat than cardio. Seems the muscles keep burning (using) fat long after a workout. I weight trained for 18 months to build bone (it worked), and while I didn't lose much weight, I did lose fat while my muscles gained weight. Watching calories while not being a couch potato should help anyone who wants to lose fat as well. Going on a strict 'diet' is too time consuming for me.
