It's my opinion that every home in America, and the whole world, should have some sort of wind turbine and solar panels. I understand that this is expensive but, as seen in this article, there are some very inexpensive solutions. Bicycle parts and car alternators is something I saw in the article. While not everybody would, or should, be able to go completely off grid the impact would be huge.
