Clearly, Kentucky has a sufficient number of adoptive parents among heterosexuals that it can safely close down all the adoption agencies, foster homes and orphanages. No need to have any of those because straight folks can tend to the necessary parenting. How insipid!

To the people of Kentucky: gay is not a disease. You cannot catch "gay." Children are not more susceptible to it, so stop thinking that being around gay people is going to "turn" an otherwise straight kid gay.

To Kentucky's Republicans: Any particular reason you announced the vote on this legislation at the same time that the Senate was adjourning for the day? Did you not want public comment or criticism? You probably figure you are safe in your Congressional seats cause your ignorant neighbors will retain you come the next election. Maybe your neighbors are not so ignorant!

Is it something in the water down there? Keeping an abandoned child from being cared for by two loving, responsible, committed parents borders on insanity.

I don't see how any self respecting person can live in such a backwards ideological area. I definitely wouldn't pay taxes since I wouldn't be a full fledged citizen.

I think they should concentrate on real problems, like who is breeding and leaving all these unwanted, neglected and abused children. Why focus on denying people that are making a choice to bring a child into their life to care, shelter, protect and love them. Those children are being double victimized, first by the ones who irresponsibly gave them life, and then by the people who want to deny them a family of their own. Very sad.

Locky, what about all the families who have step parents?, possibly 2 Mommies and or 2 Daddies? naturally children have 2 parents, and for all the ones who are without any at all? you want to deny them everything because they can't have both at the same time?? What about all the parents who have lost their spouse in the service and are now without a Mommy or a Daddy? do you feel they should also give up their children because there is no longer both?? is that also child abuse??
come on now, children are not secluded, they are influenced by many, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, friends, teachers, coaches etc...with or without both a mother and father in the home.
