This is what the corporations do. They will do anything for a buck regardless of what it does to their customers. Verizon wanted to quadruple my rate when I tried to add 2 phones to the account. They said that if i didn't pay, I would lose my phone numbers. (This was years ago before number portability) Never being one to respond well to ultimatums, I changed my numbers and never looked back.

I don't think companies should be allowed to do this, but I know they are. I think it should be reversed...if you want your info sold, then you must "opt in" and all those who do nothing face no change at all. But of course, who would "opt in" to a mess like this?
