Given that there are "whacked-out extremists" of many persuasions who paste various religious labels on their "ideas" that are not reflective of that "label's" doctrine..... Much has been/is done "in the name" of something, while not at all in harmony with that "something."
If you can find me significant evidence that Jewish and Christian universities and seminaries teach that human beings not of their persuasion should be killed, that those not of their persuasion are equivalent in worth to "pigs and monkeys," that it is effective to force religious "conversions" by military force, and that it is acceptable to use suicide bombers to kill huge numbers of innocents for the sake of their cause(s), then I will concede that your statement has some merit.

The Quran and hadith are the basic religious texts of Islam. Along with that the oldest biography of Muhammad "Sirat Rusal Allay" by Ibn Ishaq these portray the words and life of Muhammad. There is the concept in Islam and spoken about three times in the Quran of abrogation. That means that a later spoken verse in the Quran can replace a earlier spoken verse. The earlier verses that spoke abou peace etc. were abrogated by the later verses that teach fighting and subduing any place not Islamic. There is the sword verse for example.
9:5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Only stop if they convert to Islam to protect their lives.
There is nothing like that in Christianity or Judaism foolish one. Christians are told by Jesus to turn the other cheek etc. There were commands that some like to point out in the old testament but those were against a specific group of people at a specific point in time. The Islamic verses have no restrictions like that. Where in Christianity or Judaism do you have honor killings? For example that woman that was beheaded by her husband in the US. Where in Christianity do you have suicide bombers?
The definition of a martyr in Christianity is a person who dies rather than deny their religion. In Islam a martyr is one who dies while killing or attempting to kill enemies of Islam. Keep in mind that in many places it is Muslim killing Muslim this way. Do you see a basic difference there foolish one. -

Many Israelis, Americans, Christians, Jews, Europeans, Asians seem to believe it's okay to teach hatred and violence in the name of THEIR religion. At the same time that they're killing thousands of innocent Palestinians in less than a month and targeting places they previously placed groups of women and children, 'they' "expect the world to respect [Judaism] as "a religion of peace, love and harmony.""

First of all, lets get the facts, before Dionys becomes one of those Islamic preachers of hate. Israel never placed the Gaza people behind walls (I assume this is what you meant when you said "they previously placed groups of women and children"). The Gazans did that to themselves when they started sending suicide bombers into Israeli cities. For over 35 years, there were no walls or need for them. Secondly, Hamas committed internationally recognized crimes against humanity when it fired rockets for 8 years into Israeli civilian areas. Any doubt, look it up under international law. Israel only tried to stop the rockets. It didn't target innocent civilians for no reason like Hamas did. Hamas chose the battlefield arena by using civilian urban areas from which which to fire and store their rockets that they fired into Israel. Thirdly, Israel used cell phones and other means to notify the civilians that they were to leave certain areas that were going to be bombed. When did Hamas notify a single Israeli that it was going to fire it's rockets? Fourthly, Israel and the Jews have given so much to the world that 20% of all Nobel prizes are won by Jews. How much has the Muslim world given to humanity in the way of advancement? Medicine? Education? Scientific achievement? Do you want a list of both sides? I don't think that you are ready to be embarrassed that much. I also don't see you or any other Muslim group demonstrating against the genocide perpetrated by Muslims against the people of Darfur, Somolia, the Sudan, Mumbre, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, etc. etc. Over 300,000 dead in Darfur alone by the Muslim militia. 100,000 Sunnis and Shia killed in the last year alone by their own people, Pilgrims on pilgrimages included. If I were you, I would put my efforts into stopping your own people from committing genocide by the hundreds of thousands on innocent men, women and children in at least a dozen countries. All I hear from you is about 700 human shields killed in Gaza. I have yet to hear you condemn the hundreds of thousands of Muslims killed by their own people because they were Sunni or Shia. You want to condone that, or simply justify it?

Isn't that the truth. I've never seen in the Koran where it says blowing yourself up will send U to heaven. I believe most muslims are brain washed by the few who hold all the money and power. I believe even the most moderate muslims can be turned to jihad instantly. I don't believe any of them can be trusted and do believe it's only a matter of time before they start WWIII.

It is in the hadith not the Quran. Muhammad told his warriors in a battle that they were slowly losing that if they died fighting for Islam they would go straight to paradise. The Hadith take almost equal importance in Islam as the Quran. Hadith are collections of stories told about Muhammad and what he said. They are documented by who first said the story and who told it to the writer and who wrote it. They are thought to explain the Quran and add to it. This gives them the story of Muhammad and they are suposed to follow his example and do what he said.

you've got christians in america who somehow believe christ would've carried a gun and think we're on some kind of crusade in the middle east. you've got jews in israel treating the palestinians like the nazis treated the jews in europe (not to the point of extermination, but ghetto-ization anyone?) and you've got many radical factions in islam that are teaching hate (wahabbi schools. etc).
but this isn't god's fault (whichever god you like), or the fault of religion itself (as an instituion or as a culture). its the fault of the people (by and large men) running these religions and the failure of strength by those following to speak up when they know they are being taught poorly.-

Of course there is Israel, Darfur, India, Packistan, Iraq, etc. etc. etc. Muslim killing Muslim or Jews. Such a peaceful way of live. Honor killings in all parts of the world. A Muslim man beheaded his wife recently in the US. But the MSM ignored it. There have been several other honor killings in the US, usually the father killing his daughters. In most Muslim countries the officials look the other way and ignore the honor killings. Many times the victims are brought into the public square and they are killed there for all to see. Such peaceful people. At times they have killed Christians and Jews living in their lands because somebody just got angry over something and they just attacked them. The bigger times the governments get involved like the million Christians killed by Turkey as WW1 was starting. They were marched out into a wilderness area and killed there. Real peaceful people.

Do you want to go live in a devout Muslim country? If you are not religious they will give you the opportunity to convert or die. A Christian or Jew has to pay a special extra tax and be a second class citizen. And if someone gets upset and kills you no one will care. Such peaceful people. They follow the religious books. The only places that are moderate are the places that Arabic is not spoken. A Muslim is allowed to hear the Quran in only Arabic.

However, I must encourage everyone to not be complacent about violence or criminal acts that have been and still are being done by Christians in the name of Christianity or democracy or the country or what have you.
The last known lynching of a black by the KKK was on 3/20/81. Not that long ago actually. And gays are still being persecuted and killed in some parts of our country and worse in other Christian countries. Then there was the illegal incarceration and torture of prisoners at Abu Ghraig and Guantanamo. This is against all the ideals of Christianity,our Constitution, and the Geneva Convention. We also see Christians killing Christians in Northern Ireland.
All in all, I feel gratified that we perceive ourselves to be less violent than Muslims and I think it to be true. However, we msut be vigilant against violence and abuses that still crop up. Above all else, we are human. Humans make mistakes.-

Might I add, that I have spoken with Muslims where I live. They abhor the suicide bombers and the extremists. As one of them told me. " We do nothing to show the good the Muslims of the world do if all we do is show the extreme, who claim to speak in the name of Allah, yet murder their own as well as those they claim to be infidels. As far as the Christians, yes we have had the extremists as well, those who would go to war to kill in the name of Christ are not Christians. How does any faith show that they are of peace if they kill in the name of their beliefs.
There are the extremists in the Jewish faith as well.
Extremism is fanatical and over the top in any faith.
While I am willing to die for my faith, I am not willing to kill for it. For in my understanding, to kill for it is to deny the power of God and the belief that He is in control not me.
To live is in Christ, to die is to be with Christ. Either way I win.

It has been my experience as an African-American and a Sunni Muslim convert that "most" people who comment have little or no experience interacting with practicing Muslims. They are not worldly traveled. Their knowledge rest primarily on "research", and from what sources or edited sources on Islamic belief and behavior. I can say, I have interacted with thousands of Muslims around the world, and I personally don't know a single one who preaches violence. All the ones I know hope for interaction of peoples and nations.

Just as people have used Christianity as a source to demonstrate injustice and violence, so have Muslims. On the other hand, people's beliefs in both restrain them from retaliation or violence or injustice.
Islam is still, with all the bad press, has the fastest growing number of converts, including women, in western countries.
Why would a white woman from New York choose to wear a veil? People choose Islam for peace of soul, peace with God and peace with humanity. This is their human right of choice.
Right now is Islam's period under the microscope. Talk to my mother as an older black woman growing up in the south about the actions of many Christians on my people. She never turned violent and today is still a Christian.
People, speak from what you know and experienced. Talk to Muslims direct and see what they tell you. Travel, and I guarantee you will have a different perspective.

The Jews are the ones that need to prove that they are peaceful and they will never do that. Why? Because their religion is not peaceful. Check out Israeli Terrorism and the Talmud on youtube. It is nothing new to me. I've know of it for 25 years. The Holocaust story is a hoax too. Islam's Quran can be found at any library in the world. As too the Christian Bible. The Jewish Talmud? I don't think that Islam needs to prove that it is the religion of peace because it is the religion of peace as long as the so called civilized nation stop invading, regime changing, occupying and supporting the Israelis to kill Palestinians. The world specially the Jewish, Christian and Hindu must realize that their propaganda to demonize Islam will not work because anyone who learns Islam will know that the Western Zionist media are lying through their teeth. I can provide hundreds of verse from the Qur'an or even compare the Qur'an and the Bible to prove that Judaism and Christianity are the worst and violent religions on the face of the earth not Islam. What is going right now is the reaction to the stupid American and the Zionist poly towards the Muslims. Certainly those Muslims who engage in indiscriminate attack on civilians are ignorant of their religion Islam and they have noting to do with Islam.

These particular verses are very clear that Islam is the religion of peace but it is not the religion of cowards and criminals:
Permission [to fight] is given to those who are unjustly fought against, and God is most capable of assisting them. Those who have been wrongfully expelled from their homes [for no reason] except their saying, “Our Lord is Allah (God)…” [Al-Qur’an 22:39-40]
Similarly, Fight in the Way of God those who fight you, but do not transgress. God loves not those who transgress. [Al-Qur’an 2:190]
25:63. and the servants of ((Allah)) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!”
Most surely there is a party amongst those who distort the Book with their tongue that you may consider it to be (a part) of the Book, and they say, It is from Allah, while it is not from Allah, and they tell a lie against Allah whilst they know. Surah 3.78
If a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for (Allah) loveth not those who do wrong. Holy Quran 42:40
And we send thee not (O Muhammad) but as a mercy unto (all) the world (21-107)
Say, “Not equal are things, that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah, o ye that understand; That (so) ye may prosper.” (Qur’an 5:100)
Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.-

Oh, what the heck, I'll respond to him. Hey, Moonlight. IF the Bible is corrupted, then so is the Quran, being that the Quran says it's a "reminder and a confirmation of that which went before it". Not only that, but, the Quran has the Torah LIKE the Quran, going so far as to call it "both guidance and light". Would you like those sciptures?

Holocaust may not be a hoax but the details and the number of people killed are really fabricated. Why not those countries are not allowing anyone to find the truth or question the Holocaust myth.
