All religions are false and failed! But the adherents keep following in complete blind faith.

It's just that the Islamic versions are especially brutal. While the rulers hold lavish parties and are likely drinking, smoking opium and DP'ing nubile young blonds in private, they allow this barbarism. And to think we fund most of their activities. Yet they punish this woman for merely being alone with males. Nothing sexual involved at all. Complete absurdity but as you see they justify it as necessary.
But this is just the end result of blending religion and state. Of course the results are non-sensical. -

What should we think about our fundamentalist evangelical killers and their terrorism? Are those men all cowards and whimps?

Testament of the Death Squads
Good Christ, Bad Christ
... Well before neocons teamed up with the Religious Right to fight radical Islam in what the former believes is WW IV and the latter prays is Armageddon, they honed their fighting skills against another “political religion:” Liberation Theology, Latin America’s Christian socialism which fought against US-backed military juntas and sought to achieve social justice through a redistribution of wealth....
...In the United States, right-wing Christians Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Tim and Beverly LaHaye, Phyllis Schlafly and Oliver North, along with evangelical capitalists such as Amway founder Richard DeVos, founded the Council for National Policy in 1981, which, as the Religious Right’s steering committee in the 1980s, was deeply involved in Reagan’s Central American exploits....
...As part of Iran-Contra’s extensive support network, they deepened their ties with the international Right, with retired military and black ops personal, mercenaries, arms merchants, right-wing public relations experts, ex-agents of the Iranian Shah’s secret policy, international drug traffickers, ...
...Over the next ten years, as a direct result of US policy, more than three hundred thousand Central Americans, many of them devout Christians, would be killed and tortured, and over a million driven into exile. In a way, the New Right’s crusade in Central America was a preview and is today on world tour in Boykin’s Abu Ghraib and the killing fields of Iraq and now Lebanon.

The good thing is that if there is a God,and i believe there is,then the time will come when they have to justify those things to him.Good luck.-

While on the march Aisha, the favorite wife of the prophet, became lost and was rescued by a single man on a camel. When the two arrived in camp Mohamed considered having her stoned, but relented. Either this sets the precident for mercy or favorite wives of Mohamed get special treatment. Which is it? Are there any Koranic scholars out there?

The Wahhabi sect of Islam (the dominant sect in Saudi Arabia) is the most ignorant and outrageous forms of Islam. Unfortunately the oil wealth of Arabia allowed them to establish schools and missions throughout Islam. The rulers of Saudi Arabia attempted to bribe their extremists -- didn't work in the long run. The Western world indirectly provided the most extreme sect of Islam with billions of dollars.

I notice that most of the people commenting on this thread don't know much about the variations of Islam. It has almost as many different versions as Christianity does. I agree that the Wahhabis are contemptible. I also think that some of the right wing Christians who love to bandy about the quote, "Burn them all, God will find his own," are pretty disgusting too. That quote comes from the Albigensian crusade -- a crusade by parts of Europe against Southern France. The reason for the crusade: that part of France was practicing religious tolerance of various forms of Christianity.
I've decide to sink this article because I believe it is promoting ignorance and intolerance. -

Does this surprise anyone? This is what religion does. And this is especially what happnes when religion and politics is mixed. And some people want this kind of garbage in politics here.

I wonder what the US would look like if the Christian taliban were in charge here. I doubt that women would be able to work, or vote, hold a job or drive. Because we all know what religion feels about women, they are nothing more than baby producers. Disgusting.-

I remember seeing Pat Robertson's gleeful smile as he said "sorry, ladies! It's in the bible!" after he'd basically stated that women are actually second class citizens and slaves to men. No difference at all if they could create a theocracy here. And the Southern Baptists, Catholics, Latter-Day Saints, Jehovah's Witnesses, Missouri Synod Lutherans, New Life Ministries, Anglicans and many others all are misogynists based on "biblical" teaching. In effect, women are second class citizens because Paul or some other petty tyrant said so.

Muslim males are such an embarrassment to males all over the world. The religion of peace huh? And these are the same ones who want nukes to start WWIII. The same ones who blow themselves up over cartoons and such. The ones that are supported by the nazi liberals in this country.

In the Netherlands and other countries where they've settled in large numbers, the countries now have a problem with gang rape of ordinary women dressed in culturally appropriate clothing for those countries. Boys who've been brainwashed in misogynistic cultures take it with them to their new country. Even in the U.S., a blind eye is turned so that Muslim males can continue to own multiple women as "wives."

I was walking on a sweltering hot day in a major city one day and a Muslim man was comfortably dressed in shorts, a tee-shirt, and tennis shoes, licking an ice cream cone, while a woman, all in black from head to toe in the sweltering sun, walked silently behind him, obviously unable to eat ice cream in the garb she was wearing. They never spoke, and she just obediently followed him as he walked around enjoying himself. It was compelling in its ugliness.
