Posted By TechnologyExpert 9 months, 3 weeks ago in Science & TechnologySymantec's support forums are being inundated with, and then freed up from posts from users wondering about PIFTS.exe. The reason I say "freed up," and the reason that people are up in arms, is less about the file itself and more about the fact that Symantec seemed to be deleting all posts from users related to PIFTS.exe.
