"The Metropolitan Correctional Center, which has housed accused terrorists and reputed mobsters, welcomed the 70-year-old Madoff on Thursday after he pleaded guilty in one of Wall Street's biggest investment swindles and a judge revoked his bail."
( Home sweet home- jail is what he deserves.)

I bet a nice lil poncy scheme is waiting for him in jail. I didn't see the news, did he still have his 'smirk' when he was taken away?

Good! This Basturd even stole Kevin Bacon's wealth and many others. He and his complicit family needs to pay dearly for the billions he stole and should be tried for murder of those that took their lives after losing everything.

i want to know why there's any question of his family keeping ANYTHING.. if he were a drug dealer they'd RICO act him and anything and everything would be seized....

the murder aspect is also one that should be explored.....

allow him 1 last visit to his penthouse with the instruction... to DO THE RIGHT THING.. happy landing..

He is seventy and it is very clear that he hid millions for his family,so right now he feels like he got away with it,also there is a rumor that he is sick and will not last long in jail. And all the focus is on him ,i think the government is covering up the agencies who gave him a pass under the investigations !

He's probably already swindled several thousand cigarettes from the other inmates.

Current inmates include former Florida hedge fund manager Arthur Nadel, who is accused of bilking investors out of up to $350 million.

Can you imagine these 2 getting together?

I sure hope he's charged room and board for his stay in prison, why should tax payers have to be victimized by this scum con man even 1 penny more?

hope he get's a bunk mate named Bubba too...he deserves to know how it feels to get screwed big time.

                Breakfast? Breakfast??
A crust of hard bread and a tin cup of water would be appropriate for this shyster but I suppose there's some money stashed away somewhere that will be parlayed into more favourable treatment.
Otherwise I don't imagine that he'll have a whole lot going for him on the inside.
I doubt that any of the other prisoners are going to be entrusting their nickels and dimes to him for safe-keeping.
