Interesting statement after watching you talk for the last 50 days with the gloom and doom message being your mantel piece to push your agenda.-

Just look at the speech he gave to the joint session of Congress

Proclaiming to a joint session of Congress and an recession-scarred American people that the “day of reckoning has arrived,” President Barack Obama said Tuesday night that the country must now act “boldly and wisely” to take charge of its future.
Still, he noted, his plan "will require significant resources from the federal government and, yes, probably more than we've already set aside."

((The president boldly declared that the national crisis is "not as bad as we think" and that he has seen public opinion seesaw without logic))

Apparently the President's opinion is subject to seesaw without logic. He pushed through his bills with little discussion and obviously without Congress reading them because "we are in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression". He kept saying that over and over again.
Those of us who accused him of fear-mongering and pointing out that things weren't even as bad as the 1980's were pooh-poohed just as haters and we needed to give him a chance.
Now, two or three weeks later he wondering where all the pessimism is coming from and calling it irrational?
Puh-leeze.
He is correct now -- the economy is NOT as bad as he has been painting it. Small banks are, for the most part, still sound and still conducting business as usual-- including loans.
Yes, there are huge problems. No, I don't believe they will be fixed by continuing the same policies that brought us to the brink in the first place --- too big to fail and too much gov't spending.
However, it looks as if, for the most part, Obama's policies will prevail, so I hope to hell I'm wrong. -

Well I'm surprised. I figured all liberals would just keep their mouth shut and let the far left loonies run wild. Liberals do make it difficult for me not to generalize all of them as morons and hate mongerers. And it's only been 50 something days. Anything he's done can't possibly take effect this soon. Of course U can't explain that to the average liberal. Most of them think the prez is just pushing buttons there in the Oval Office.

I know one positive thing about Obama to ME personally is that the higher taxes on cigarettes and I mean higher. I QUIT SMOKING. And the funny thing is they are going to cost even more per pack of cigarettes I have personally heard 60 more cents per pack. And this increase will be in April. I praise the President on that move. And that is no lie. Comments?
