Bad move Obama. This was a chance to break the impasse over a faux fear of a nuclear weapon. Iran does not have such a weapon, has not tested such a weapon, no inspection has produced evidence of such a weapon or for that matter, any attempt to make one. All the ballyhoo about the centrifuges is crap. From what I understand those existing machines are not "fast" enough to do the proper enrichment for a nuclear weapon.

So what is the threat from Iran? I think there is a lust for their oil, the same reason for the invasion off Iraq. Remember what a great thread Iraq was sold to the American public. Wasn't there was it.
No it's the oil.-

Actually the plan was to keep the Iraqi oil OFF the market in order to improve the price of oil (Thank you Mr. Cheney.)When asked whether the access to Iraqi oil would permit the US to breakup the threat of OPEC, he responded: no the Saudis are our great friends.

Iran, with ALL their technology produces less oil today than under the Shah. The also do not have the constructs to refine their own oil.
Obviously their priorities are at aimed at improving the lives of the Iranians but to dominate the region and to promise a path to Paradise.
As far as the ballyhoo about the centrifuges being crap, that is home (Iranian) grown.

Sanctions is a bargaining tool. Why give away a bargaining chip before you even sit down and talk? I'm all for engagement but I also believe in "pro quid quo". So far we haven't seen any overtures from Iran to sit and negotiate while Clinton has invited Iran to multi-national talks about the concerns in that region.

My guess is that the 1 billion dollars bill and hillary gave to Hamas (to rebuild Gaza) will end up in the hands of Iran so they can finish their nuke program.

At the very least, Hamas will use the money to rebuild their missile arsenal to begin new launches against Israel in a few months. -

To Iran, talk creates a valuable commodity; time.

The longer we 'diddle' with them the longer they have to enrich their uranium and improve their missle capabilities.
Whatever we deny them through the front door by 'sanctions' they, the Iranian Gvt, obtain through the back door through 'un-noticed' or secret trade deals. -

Of course Hamas has to rebuild their missil arsenal in order to drive the occupiers from their country but it is wrong to say they would use the American money to build their missile arsenal. The fact is Israel is using the American money to build their arsenal and also America shamelessly providing all kinds of weapons and, support to oppress and occupy Palestine. What America should do is to keep its billions with them, still Hamas will do what it has to do to expel the fascist entity Israel from their country. -

Actually I would be surprised if Hamas ever sees a penny of that money or the people of Gaza for that matter. I believe the report is that the money is going to be given to Fatah instead of Gaza. It will be up to Fatah to give the money to the people of Gaza. If any of you remember Hamas was elected by the people of the West Bank and Gaza in an election sanctioned by the United States. The U S and Israel were surprised that Hamas was elected and almost immediately Israel arrested all the elected Hamas Leaders. It didn't take but a few weeks for the PR to paint Hamas as the bad guys in all this, but the truth is that when Hamas was elected they made an overture of working together to Israel and that's when they were arrested.

Why would Iran buy a rocket from Korea? They just a couple of weeks ago put up a communications satellite using a rocket and telemetry that they developed. This is something Korea hasn't been able to do. So why buy Korean rockets?
That's why above I said it was a bad move by Obama to extend the sanctions. The long running sanctions is the reason they have been slow to develop their oil industry to its potential. But our sanctions have also had a detrimental effect. They have signed an oil deal with China.
By the way , would anybody reading this do some research and find out who helped start Hamas? When you find that it was Israel, remember I told you so. -
