And people used to complain that Bush didn’t care enough about veteran care - even though he increased the VA budget by 56% from 2001 to 2008. Bush never offered the notion that the nation should shirk its duty to those who gave their health for the defense of America, especially not in the same week in which his administration signed a record omnibus bill with 8,000 pork items in it.

Remember all of those stories about the living conditions if the Vets were outpatient?

The fact that this administration would even consider this is very telling
They have NO respect or concern for the military!

      Shinseki is a disgrace
He was wounded in Vietnam. He should know better!

What the Heck? After all they said about Bush not loving his military?

Another hypocritical Democratic move that will be considered 'different' by the left because it came for their own guy.

Funny because the group VA watchdog says the exact opposite of PC's story:

                  Sorry for the mess above....
The pay for the Army, AirForce, Navy, Marines, and National guard,
The previous administration submitted a budget request that cut their pay by
                  -$8.6 Billion or -28%.
It cut Family housing by -$932 million or -22%
All other DOD stuff rose by more than 12%

Off topic, but I couldn't help but notice that most, if not all, persons dropping this article usually have nothing to add constructive other than blaming Bush when an article is critical of the "Anointed One."

              And THIS is constructive?!?

Yes, it is off topic, and utterly un-noteworthy.

              And you wonder why......

Note the response of Bruedaddy to your comment posted below. His language is also impeccable in his support of you. Your comment is an example of what I was pointing out - just find something to divert attention to Bush.

As the liberals are fond of pointing out, they won the election. Now all they have to do is take responsibility for their actions instead of claiming inheritance of the problems of the Bush administrations first six years or finding something to claim that Bush did the same or worse.

We have yet to see the results of Obama's policies.
