This topic is going to be one of the things people in 200 - 300 years will be looking back at us and wondering why in the hell were we so stupid to not do anything when we had the chance...

I'm sure if NASA discovered a meteor 100 miles long was flying its way towards earth, and it was projected that it would hit in the middle of the US (red state area, by the way), the same people who are laughing now would be the first to say "DO SOMETHING, YOU FU**ING GOVERNMENT". You know they would..."SAVE US, SAVE US" would be their mantra...and they'd be the first to complain when they found out nothing could be done...

It's always easier to put it off on the next generation...let them deal with it...right?
