Propeller Week In Review: March 13, 2009 »
Posted By tdrapeau 8 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsAlas, our beloved James Marcus is missing in action for this week's Propeller Week In Review. James is at the National Book Critics Circle awards, where he is on the board of directors. We wish him happy voting and many free books (although, I've been to his house, he REALLY doesn't need any more books. And he would be happy to see me remember to put the period inside the closing parenthesis just now--one of my punctuation blind spots.)
What was your favorite story of the week? Tell us in the comments. Mine was the Wired story about the $100m diamond heist.

You are exactly right Tim about moving day, the books are the worst to move. But, you will be missed James, hope you are having fun though. Anyways, Great job Tom, thanks and my favorite story- well, I'm wanting to choose one of mine but I'm not going to be that way. It's hard to choose when they are so many great stories to try and choose from so I'm going to stay neutral so I wont get into trouble from my friends... I liked all the top stories...lol!!!! Have a great weekend Tom and everyone else...;~]

Brave of you too - as I'm sure you're well aware he's a hard act to follow..
I found it an edgy week - but with way too much workon hand and tight deadlines I wasn't so clear whether it was just a "mirror effect".
As for the stories, I also appreciated the one which Stoners highlighted, from a newish poster. Was also very happy to see a couple of old friends back after each had been absent for some time - one for a really long time..
A clue to their identities are that they helped me with the silliest story that I've ever posted - which I would have liked to give a link to BUT, alas, it seems to belong to a period of propeller history which has now been removed :(
Anyway it was "itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, yellow polka-dot bikini" and since the 2 suspects that I referred to above cannot be tracked now on that thread, I'll have to "out" them as Shadowolf and Mdiar.. Shadowolf made me do it; Mdiar took over the late night shift and kept the ladies present highly entertained.. -

I kind of like this format for a change of pace. Reading about picks and reviews made by the members is cool too.

Perhaps a little off the beaten track, but I enjoyed reinaldomunoz's post, "Most interesting graffiti pictures".
We do have a motley crew of propellerheads, don't we?
(This, coming from "Mr. Normal"...) period on the outside? -

Which is this post.
I love redundancy as much as I love recursive loops; but redundancy is nice too.
