Police said the incident happened around 2 p.m. on Independence Avenue. Yonkers resident Denise Delgado Brown, 51, was pulling up to the front door of the Shervier Apartment Building to drop off two friends. As she was getting out her car, police say she was suddenly struck by the arrow.

    I can't believe that this took place right in front of the building where I live!

    Isn't there any place safe to go to w/o being shot by an unknown assailant?

    Rather bizarre BB. Hope the lady's OK. Nobody was filming a re-do of "Deliverance" nearby, were they?

    Think that we're all used to not being safe. But to be not safe in the Bronx just staggers the imagination.

    When I lived in Brooklyn in the 70's there was a series of attacks by an archer. He would ride around in a van the back door would open, he shot some anonymous person with the arrow, and then drove off. Had everyone pretty afraid at the time I remember.
