Oh yes, and one more thing. Germany's collapse precipitated it's defeat in the "Great War". The economic shamble was the Weimar Republic's to fix. And yes, lessons can be learned from this. Unfortunately, to many $$-men bought the idea that Iraq was a vein that was ours to mine.
It's turned out to be the Mother(lode) of all shafts. While soldiers are making the sacrifices, it was high times in old Berlin...er Washington.
