President Obama's latest shovel-ready project is close to home -- in fact, right in his own yard. In an effort to promote healthy eating, the first family will be planting a vegetable garden right on the White House grounds.

    I'm waiting for him to replace the Carter solar panels that Reagan removed.

      I think having a home garden can be a very good learning experience for children. The Obama girls and for that matter their parents will enjoy the new veggie garden.

      With the economy as it is, we might all do well to plant a garden. Lot's of people here are enlarging or planting one for the first time to save on grocery costs.

        Remember that your garden will grow a lot better if you shovel a lot of poop in there. Sounds to me like there might be plenty of it up there in Washington.
