This is another example of how Obama is inclusive of others. Where Bush took the typical neo-con position of discriminating against anyone who isn't just like him, Obama reviews this and decides to sign it. He really didn't have to politically because I don't think that many people were paying attention to it.

  not that I agree with it but if you want equal rights for all people then why not decriminalize marrying your sister? Makes as much sense as being gay,

    Always nice to see there are still some devoted hateful bigots out there.
    
    There have always been laws, morals or ethical guidelines in place in societies regarding incest.
    
    This is not true for homosexuality.
    
    Even the Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality, but instead condemns a single homosexual act between two men.

    in this country, the reason it is illegal to marry your sister is because of the possibility of genetic abnormality of any offspring of the union.
    
    there are no such concerns for gays or lesbians.

        Statistically-speaking, children raised by a same-sex couple are no more or less likely to be homosexual themselves than children raised by straight parents.

        Actually, there is a slightly higher liklihood that a child raised by a same-sex couple, will identify as homosexual themselves, but it is unclear as to the causation. It may well be simply a function of greater tolerance of sexual preferences in general.

        Stalemate, STFU you hateful bigot..I want too thank President Obama for signing this. We as Americans are finally comming out of the dark ages which EX President Bush helped to fuel..I was talking to my husband last night after watching a televsion program, and I couldn't help but notce how hateful our Country was under the Nixon, Regan and Bush (Both of them)We had a slight repreve with President Clinton, and now we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel again..God Bless America, and God Bless President Obama!!!!!!

        You know nothing about God's blessings if you believe that he would bless a nation that is outwardly celebrating homosexuality. When will you people understand that it our "so called freedoms" that will ultimately destroy us?
        Let children do what they want and see what happens. Is it not the same thing? Gods words tell us that a man should not lay with a man. What more do you need? This entire homosexuality thing saddens me deeply. We kill our children and carry on like animals. I don't think the animals are even as horrible as we are. Simply put, your bible should not and does not serve as a legislative tool in this nation. We are NOT a theocracy! This is a Republic, in which gays and lesbians are equal with heteros. Homosexuality is not a "thing" about which you should be sad. We are not sad because you are a hetero. In fact, we appreciate you for who you are...a human.     I've got no problem with that. I don't have a sister though. Of course, in order for it to be equal rights for all, it would have to be ok for my sister to marry my sister.
