I agree. Obama's not my pick for the White House, but this is a non-issue. And it's great to have a president weigh in on collegiate sports...usually its pros and Olympians who get all the attention.

OTOH, his comment about the Special Olympics was in bad taste, even if said in a self-deprecating context. A president doesn't get to ad-lib like the rest of us. -

So in the last 6 weeks a former KGB general, Prime Minister Putin and a basketball coach giving our president advice on the economy. By the way, both made more sense than the current socialist moves of team Obama. Former Communist and a Jock with better advice. Does that scare the hell out of you too?
