Closing Gitmo...good idea. Vets paying their own insurance...bad idea. Confirming Israel is a nuclear power...priceless. Maybe now we can have weapons inspectors come in. Why should they be allowed to have weapons with no inspections, when even the U.S. has to conform to some oversight.BTW, this report came out in Nov. 2008., so who are you referring to when you said,"the President and his people"?

Just briefly, All the states you mentioned are NPT members with the exception of North Korea. We also know that inspectors have been on the ground in N. Korea as recently as last year. Israel on the other hand is not a member of the NPT and has never had any outside country inspect it's nuclear reactors or it's facilities. You might want to investigate the Vela incident as well why are researching the subject. Here's a link to get you started.

NPT means Non-Proliferation Treaty. As all these coutries already have nuclear weapons "non-proliferation' INTO them is meaningless.

I personally am pretty sure that Israel has nuclear weapons and is capable of turning ANY aggressor into a pile of radioactive rubble. I'm also sure that this capability of Israel had prevented its neighbors from trying to destroy it again.

What this does is give another argumental point for Iran to become a nuke power and start a nuke race in that part of the world. I can never understand libs on this. On one side they are against Nukes. On the other they block most actions against Iran trying to stop them from obtaining them.

iran is entitled to nuclear power under the npt, iran has done nothing wrong under the npt, the iaea and its inspectors say iran has done nothing wrong under the npt, and we don't have the slightest shred of evidence of everything we accuse iran of... just like we did with iraq. and look where that got us.

So the fact that Iran is testing missiles capable of hitting not only Isreal but possibly Europe, at the same time that it's accelerating nuclear research means nothing to you? I've asked you several times in the past to explain how will Iran possibly use hundreds of nuclear-capable medium-range (about 3,000 kilometers) ballistic missiles it already has and continues to develop.
I'm still waiting for an answer. Please keep in mind that these missiles are pretty ineffective when armed with conventional warheads.-

Everybody knew for years, that Israel owns nuclear weapons, but political correctness hindered the Bush administration to admit this once and for all. This bigottery could be made use of by the Iranian president: Why is Israel allowed to own and produce nuclear weapons without any sanctions and Iran, officially only claiming the right of civil use, is added to the "axis of evil"?

Because HAVING WEAPONS and UNING them are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. France, Britain, Russia and China are allowed to own and produce nuclear weapons without any sanctions as well because they're not going to "erase" other countries "from the page of time". So is Israel.
On the other hand, if the neighbors of Israel were absolutely, positively sure that Israel did not have nuclear weapons they would try to "erase" it again as they've tried several times in the past.-

Read it all over again: If the neighbors of Israel were absolutely, positively sure that Israel did not have nuclear weapons they would try to "erase" it again as they've tried several times in the past.
In case you still didn't get it I'll put it a bit differently: Israel (as well as the US, France or Britain) WILL use nuclear weapons in case there will be no other way to fight back an aggressor or aggressors.

Doesn't having that advantage of repelling aggressors actually promote countries yearning to have them? Are you for real? Your neighbors couldn't even beat Israel in a conventional war. It's too costly even without nukes. This was seen in Lebanon and most recently Gaza. All the other countries have proclaimed they have them. If Israel has them they need to fess up. The world has a right to know which countries have the power to destroy mankind and who doesn't. As far as countries having secrets, the actual amount, where they are developed, the location of silos, and the technical details of how they are built can be secret, but the simple fact on whether a country has them or not shouldn't be kept secret. If they are used countries that aren't even involved in the conflict will be affected, so the world should know whether the nukes are used as a deterrent or not.

Maybe. I prefer a neighbor to try getting a gun (and, hopefully, fail doing it) over succeeding in killing me with his knive... espeially if he knows that I'll shoot him faster than he'll pull his piece out of the holster.

If Israel is found to have nuclear weapons, then this will only lead to a buildup of Iran's suspected nuclear arsenal & pretty soon, all of Israel's enemies (especially Syria) will either strengthen the Palestinian terror groups or worse, start up their long-dormant nuclear arms programs.

Hardly. You see, Iranian and Arab leaders are smart enough to realize that nuclear weapons will drastically improve their chances of destroying Israel which is their official declared goal. Even more so in case they'll be convinced that Israel does not have an answer to Iranian nukes.

Israel hasn't received a single missile from the US that is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. They have developed their own missile system as well as space Rockets. Their Jericho missile is quite capable of delivering a nuclear warhead anywhere that is necessary. Isreal is one of 5 countries that have the capability of launching satellites into space. They don't need US missiles to deliver a nuclear warhead.
