Super batting by Tendulkar this morning. Another crucial hundred to go with his century in the Chennai Test vs England. The highlights features Martin Crowe gushing all over him - might sound a bit too much for those who’ve watched Tendulkar over the last 20 years, but what the heck - it’s Sachin. More is always less in his case.
Dravid (in a post-match interview yesterday) pointed out that drives weren’t working on this pitch - so you can see Tendulkar going for the checked-shots through the innings while driving. Zaheer Khan laid waste to sloppy NZ fielding to stretch the lead to 241.
Martin Guptill was looking cool at the time of this post and was 48 out of a total of 66.
