it amazes me that a supposedly christian group sees no irony and seems to feel no shame for propping up one of the most hate filled people of our time. this is the real christianity of today.

I think the Christians brought the whole thing on them selves....as decipher says, they support the most hate filled bigoted people of our time and that is who they are following because is sure isn't Christ.

What load of crock. It makes alot of sense that they would have someone like Ann Coultier write the forward to this book, because it is literally full of $#!t. Show me anywhere in this country where people are getting fired for just quoting a bible scripture. Probally what is happening is they are getting fired for harrasing everyone else insted of working. The work place isnt a place to try to convert everyone and their moms to your precious litttle cult-sect. Next, show me one church that ever gotten threatened for not doing a homosexual marrage or preaching against homosexuality. It isnt happening. If there are Christians out there that are really this paraniod, they need some severe pychological help.

You think some Christians would have better things to be doing like helping the poor and healing the sick.

Heres a story where Christian group are getting irate about the Game of life because it allows the option for same sex marrage:

Yes Christians are being silenced. Christians that understand that God in in charge not man.
Ann Coulter does not seem like a Christian to me. Oh wait I will have the right wingers claiming I'm judging her.
Of course her hate filled rants aren't judgement, to them it is truth.

      Luke 18:9-14

9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank You that I am not like other men-extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me a sinner! 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

      John 8:42-47
42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God."

"...Christians are being silenced all across America: in the political debate, the public square, the schools, the workplace, and even in the sanctuary of their own churches....'

But what does it mean to say that Christians are "being silenced"? Last I looked, Christians can do and say whatever they like whenever they wish to.

What this is really about is the old shell game of recasting those who persecute as the persecuted. It's tough when the hegemony of any notoriously intolerant faith is challenged--when a consensus emerges about the unacceptability of certain forms of sanctioned bias.

As for Coulter, she'd play a dromedary if she thought it would provoke--and sell books.

Egale_Eye You used to hear me all the time saying something about Jesus and how I would never denine him, but so many people here at Propeller had made me feel so unwanted and slured me because I beleave in Jesus Christ the Son of God that now you see untill now writing this i silenced myself so I would fit in. but all people who are christians dont hate ,I dont hate anybody, People ask me out her how can I still feel the way I do when I know they are saying things because I read my bible and pray. I just say I have forgot about it and forgave them, I am not what you call a true christian or I wouldnt do some things that I do. but I do know that I cannot bring myself to hate or make fun of anyone, my heart and mind wont let me. My mother always told me befor she died that I had enough love in my heart to spread around the world and then some left over. It was your kindness that led you to put out the story and you did'nt even know it.

After reading the ad for Wildmon's book, well...I'm speechless!
Thank God not brainless. If not for the fact I'm not otherwise paralyzed by such wild and baseless claims, I wouldn't be able to register my disbelief. ... Lol!
Spiritual belief is a personal issue to me. Religious warfare and scandal mongering is ugly and anti-spiritual.
My heart and conscience insist that the poison that issues forth in the form of lies, attacks on people 'different than', bombastic speech, negative energy in place of good works, and all other attempts to putrefy the good in mankind by singling out insignificant differences, is not the work of Godly intentions, but a diversion sought by those in lust for a baser aspiration.
            Power.
If Wildmon et al, really believe God's hand needs to move upon the (so perceived) unrighteous, then let them go to their closets and pray for them, instead of clamoring before the public like so many richly adorned Pharisees. Of course where are the dividends in that?

While I agree with much being said here I must point out that to claim that Jesus never judged is simply wrong. Read the 23rd chapter of Matthew; if that isn't judging nothing is.

And the day will also come when Christ Himself will be the ultimate judge... Acts 17:31
"He (God) has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.” Rom 2:16 “in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ"

And In I Corinthians he talks a lot about the church judging itself.

When He spoke about not judging it was pretty much about the church & believers judging the world and basically how it was not yet time, not until His return.

What I do notice though is where Christians are condemned for bring their religious beliefs into everyday life and are told to leave it in the church where it belongs, e.g. that they cannot bring their religious beliefs into politics, or education. That concept violates the most basic idea of Christianity; that a follower of Christ is to make Him Lord over their whole being, not just relegate Him to Church on Sunday. The Believer is also to have “the mind of Christ” in that they are to look upon and so love the world as He saw it, sinners in need of forgiveness and salvation. How does a follower of Christ live out that ideal by ignoring the world around them and not speaking out about what they see – a world in need of a Savior?

Keep in mind folks that not all who profess to be Christians are, not all who believe they are followers of Christ are.

John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 15:8 “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.”
1 John 2:5 “But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.”
Then all of I John 4
