Posted By capj71 10 months, 3 weeks ago in Political NewsDuring an interview over the weekend, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) called for armed overthrow of the U.S. government. This bimbo gets crazier every time she opens her mouth. Could she be aiming to dethrone Sarah? If so she best be careful or there might be some moose hunting going on in Minnesota. This could work out to be the cat fight of the century.

Yes, employing metaphors has got to be unconstitutional! Give me a moment, I'm sure it's in there somewhere.

Ah yes, here it is, Article 11b, part viii:
The use of metaphors, being incomprehensible to the population at large, shall not be tolerated.

To be honest I am starting to believe that both sides are trying to provoke such a thing to happen so they can have a reason to set in martial law and have total control. The government is spending like crazy, printing money like crazy and ignoring ALL out cry from the AMerican citizens. It is a fight for power.Be prepaired.

I know plenty of people from Mimmesota. They all seem so serene and docile. Then you see who they elect as their representatives and you wonder WTF!

It would not surprise me if at some time in the next four years one of these idiot fringe groups doesn't attempt some type of armed insurrection. I know one loon in particular who has an absolute arsenal in his house and would love nothing more than to battle it out with the government. These people always refer to themselves as "patriots". They are the furthest thing from that term. They accuse federal judges of interpretive legislation from the bench. Yet all of their beliefs are based on their own interpretation of The Constitution and their favorite document, The Federalist Papers. And they view these documents as stagnant as if we were still living in the 18th century. It is no wonder they can't reconcile their beliefs in the modern world.
What these people are for the most part is frustrated white males. Instead of working toward positive solutions they sit at home and polish their guns and b-tch endlessly. They listen to the likes of Rush and Hannity who profit by keeping their anger at a fever pitch. Of course there are plenty of frustrated females too. Bachmann, Palin, Coulter and let me remind you Phyllis Schlafly ain't dead yet either. They were ok with Bush and his horrific policies (a dullard is their perfect candidate, see Palin) but Obama is just too different for them. Somehow they can't envision him in 18th century garb. He is the current focal point of their hate.
We are spewing 300 million tons of pollutants a day into the atmosphere. To say there is no effect on our environment is delusional. People like Gore may be alarmists but they serve a purpose. That is to not forget about the generations to come who will see far more obvious effects of our actions.-

O rly? which ones?
cap and trade is looking more amd more like an economic tax that would provide huge amounts of cash to the gov't (read that: from everyone's pocket).
cap and trade for SO2 worked pretty well because there are only a relatively few big point sources. CO2? Big sources everywhere. taxing CO2 WILL wreck the economy. -

How Will an Energy Tax Affect You?
Reply
One of the more damaging components of President Obama’s budget is the carbon trading scheme that will massively increase the cost of living for all Americans. Despite the President’s pledge not to raise taxes “one single dime” for 95% of Americans, the costs imposed by this plan will be paid by consumers in the form of higher energy bills. In fact, an MIT study examining the effects of an energy tax similar to the President’s plan estimates it will cost each American household an average of $3,128 per year. -

Obama has said that the revenue will be used for tax breaks to offset the increased energy costs. If the coal technology is as clean as the coal industry advertises it is, (it's not) the net result could be lower costs for most Americans.

So you admit this is a shell game? Who benefits from the shell game?

I hope you all realize CAP AND TRADE is the worst idea the world can institute.
How to reduce carbon output? (Give tax incentives for those who do the following)
1) Nuclear power
2) Off shore wind turbines
3) Geothermal energy
4) Solar
DO not penalize everyone for using a fuel that has dominated our economy for 50 years! It is not industries fault we are addicted to oil. It's every president from here to the past. Taxing people for using hydro carbon without any other solution offered is ludicrous. First give people a reason to spend money for the conversion. Then once there is an alternative and people refuse to change then we tax, but not now it is unfair.

Can't you Republicans muzzle the dingbat? And I'm not advocating taking her free speech rights away, just some sane republican telling her she's crazier than Limpballs. She really is an embarrassment to her state and the nation. Who in their right minds elected this woman? Oh, "right" is the operative word.

I think this is the quote on which Mr. Easley bases this smear:
Reply
"Bachmann said, “I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people – we the people – are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country. And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States.”
If you listen to the interview, you will notice before she makes this comment, she talks about educating the people of Minnesota to be the best educated with regard to the cap and trade issue.
Armed and dangerous with knowledge is a bad thing?
I thought most liberals supported education?-

We certainly do, unlike Caribu Barbie who turned down hundreds of millions in Education funding recently. Its the repugs that fight tooth and nail against every dollar that would educate children, hell, that's what private schools for the rich are for. The rest can just be slave labor, after the repugs bust the unions. Who needs weekends anyway, much less a living wage, when you have the opportunity to slave for the likes of Paris Hilton, who inherited ever dime tax free thanks to your idol, George W villiage idiot Bush and Shotgun Dick, who's very first act was to abolish all inheritance tax.
