The "newspeak" from Nineteen Eighty-Four, where lies became the truth and vice versa, was after all characteristic of the Soviet Union....Ex-President Bush appears to be skilled in "newspeak," too.

    This has brought shame on our country. We have become hypocrites and other countries question our moral authority to say anything about them.

        I hope that the individuals from the last administration can be brought to justice for these international crimes. I don't have a lot of faith that it will happen. If it did, it would let the world know that the U.S. considers its criminals responsible for their behavior.
