That's not always the case. The military is having a record year finding good recruits. Peeple we would normally lose to business world, engineers, business etc. have chosen military. Good benefits, full health, and so on. It's not for everyone though, I've made it a career.

As to implying junk food, there are just as many college guys failing the PT tests as there are lower income. Junk food is fast, easy and available. One thing I've found from the lower income recriuts, since mommy and daddy didn't provide everything for them, they tend to work harder and take this much more seriously. That includes makeing sure they can meet the PT standards. I blame the recuriters for this. It is a recruiter's market and they should work with their charges and prepare them better.

No. Get mom or dad to actually prepare a proper meal. No more fast food in front of the TV. A real balanced meal at the table. Teach the kids fast food is fine in a pinch but not as the only staple. There goes the "it takes a village...."
