This happens a lot. It's the landlords fault. They know about the forclosure for months but don't want to let the tenant know for fear the tenant will move.

I agree about the landlord going to jail! I've heard many banks are now starting to work with tenants that have been going through this, it would be in their best interests anyhow. Can you just imagine the sheriff coming to put your belongings out on the street and you have absolutely no knowledge this was going to happen? yeah..string up the landlords who do this.
