Living in a state of gratitude is imperative for a productive and happy life. Recently I have undergone the debilitating effects from a muscle disorder (myotonic dystrophy) that has limited my ability to do things, to walk, and to move.

Adjusting to these limitations has not been easy. As a prideful male who has enjoyed a lifetime of independence and past that included participation in sports and other physical activities, the losses have begun to take their toll. Working through these issues, I have adopted a simple formula that has improved the quality of my life; I must emphasize and focus my energies on what I can do and let go of what I cannot.
Sounds simple? Well, it is; that is, when I remember to do it. From this came the inspiration behind this video. Despite the many muscles that have been compromised by my illness, I am very fortunate and grateful that my hands have remained unaffected. This video celebrates the wondrous things the human hand can accomplish. I hope you enjoy it. -

I don't know how others felt but I found this a very powerful video, enjoyed the music and the thought provoking pictures.
