The Military is the perfect example of what The Modern Republican believes - that Government Enterprises can achieve ANYTHING - as long as you keep throwing billions and billions of dollars at the program.
Although - for some reason - when it comes to education & health care - my fellow Conservatives take the OPPOSITE stance.

It's odd at Washington's push to make everything in it's sight a weapon...examples are inventions considered to be open source, have been placed in programs that eventually end with the new device in a weapon. The US does this, by saying it's in the national interest...ahnd turns it over to the pentagon.

I, for instance, invented a sphere that replaces a disc in a computer...I call it an intelleball...and when applied a different way, the ball spins a high rate within a vaccumn tube...in addition the ball can consist of windings...that are coupled with a processor...then cut the flux from permanent magnets at a very high rpm...this means it is a very good power source. There are many ideas such as this...that the US will never be able to publically admit, just how they got them.
Good people...do not subject the world, when one finds what is missing. So...I personally walk a walk with Debian and linux...open source can be applied to a whole host of items. The physics of what I say...is a match for what is within the abode we live in...and a match for us...freedom.
