This legislation is designed to improve the quality of water in the U.S. by improving the wastewater infrastructure and water quality. The bill authorizes $13.8 billion over the next five years in the form of state grants to construct new waterways and treatment facilities, as well as clean up polluted lakes and rivers and create new jobs.
