What they don't tell you in those ads is if you want any software other than the OS that comes on the computer you have to buy it. and with microsoft office starting at around $300 that adds significantly to the price of the computer. The Mac comes with all the iLife programs already installed and for $79 you can add iWork and have your word possessor, spreadsheet, and presentation programs. And they are compatible with all Office formats.
