My dog just doesn't watch where she is going. They don't really care much until you actually step on them: then they tend to watch out. A lot of other accidents are caused by pets, too.

It would be against their best interests (eating, shelter, petting) to conspire to eliminate me. But it still seem like they are trying to kill me. My cats always weave in front and into me especially when I'm heading for the stairs.

Same for me. It's as if they have absolute faith that we won't step on them.

That's why I never discuss my final will around them, LOL!

It is up to us, to improve the statistics, as our pets are creatures that follow Nature. I agree I have seen some intelligence that surprises me in Cats and Dogs, but we are to blame when we trip or injure ourselves.
Man has a capacity that other creatures do not have...our brains plus the physical make, put us at the head.
All creatures, including us, are Creators in a contiuous permeation of causals and effectuals from all that exists here, within the abode.
A constant genesis...over and over...begins with darkness and ends in light for everyone.

we need the CDC issuing a warning that pets are hazardous?

if you're the type that needs to be told not to trip over your dog... don't buy a dog, put on a football helmet and wrap yourself with a roll of bubble packing

the only thing this article points out is that somewhere there is a room full of executives with their investment portfolio in one hand and a list of insurance claims in the other.

but then they would be tempted to jump off their house or play out in traffic.
