This offer has the potential for a win-win-win situation. The win for the unemployed/uninsured is, of course, quite obvious. Walgreens also has a potential win in that their in-store clinics are relatively new and this should expose more people to them and make them more comfortable with the care they can provide. This will increase their patient base and likely result in prescription business also. The third win is for the national health care situation in that it should draw people away from hospital emergency rooms, the current health care choice of last resort, thus lowering care costs and reducing traffic in emergency rooms. If it works everybody wins.
