I must agree that "double-speak" seems to be the providence of lawyers, politicians, economists, and weatherwo/men.

However, I must also take issue with the assumption that Friedman's first statement had anything to with his second statement or that he gave validity to a centralized banking system. The author needs to show better reasoning behind the correlation between "...a few men [with] such power..." and "legislated rule." -

friedman was a utilitarian who believed the ends justified the means.

he also proposed taking taxes out of every pay check as to obfuscate the damage that you would have clearly seen if it built up until the end of the year.
friedman was a genius, but a trickster. He unwittingly used his know-how to enslave his own children because he rested his faith in government. -
