Gordon Brown calling all faiths to develop a "New world order". There's something a little ominous about those words, "New world order" Is the new world order a peaceful place or is it a place where there is little tolerance for alternative viewpoints?

This is the reasoning that this country was founded upon -- based on checks and balances and a restraint on government by the Bill of Rights.
On the other hand, a New World Order destroys the soverignty of all the nations and the very essence by which we enjoy our liberties today. This, also further empowers the very same people who got us into this mess in the first place. Why would we possibly trust them to govern the planet, now??-

Well said. We would not, should not, and will not ever trust such benighted, corrupt individuals.
