It doesn’ t matter if you’ re a rich man or a poor man. Life can put anyone through the ringer now and then. What is it that makes us able to withstand? Why are we so determined to go on? Man continues to try and make his mark in the world. Rising only to fall, falling and determined to get up again. Can a man be destroyed but not defeated? Can a man be defeated but not destroyed?

Man will also have to loose before he can win...the idea that one is above another seems a bit trifle when you know there's actually nothing to win...we are here...upon Earth where the words in Psalms state God's will is done. (complete) In Genesis it states the presence of the firmament between Heaven...celestial sphere: the apparent surface of the imaginary sphere on which celestial bodies appear to be projected (wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn) Then we are challenged to look in front of our noses, and see just what was and still is, his. Nice place, here in the middle.

Man cannot progress by staying in a safe bubble,created by his own egoistic day-dreams.It's sometimes, when blows of misfortune rain down upon him,he starts to question,"what his life really is".Even if it's nothing other than expediency,he/she looks to change.He/she may feel temporarily defeated,but his/her essential "spark"is never destroyed.

Man is a lot like the cockroach - consistantly breeding, difficult to annihilate, and adaptable to many harsh conditions.

But man has a brain that reasons and a cockroach doesn't (I think). So man can make better choices or prepare himself when he doesn't.
