Exactly...not that I think Coleman should have given up at all...it's his right to fight for a fair count.

But, you can only go so far, and when you start beating your head against the court system, and you get bloodied, it's time to throw in the towel... -

Not won but stolen. Ballots were paper ballots and when they did not go through the counting machine correctly there were duplicates made and put through the machine. The people doing this "forgot" to mark the bad ballots. So those people voted twice in the recount and this was mostly in Franken areas. Then Franken refused to have absentee ballots from other than his districts to be counted by a technicality. Other ballots mysteriously appeared from the trunks of cars. So some people were disenfranchised and others voted twice. Some Franken districts had more votes than there are voters in the district. So much for the vaunted paper ballots that people cried to get. Give people paper ballots and all kinds of trickery can be done as was in this case.

As an one-time wrestler, I think Al should wrestler Coleman for the seat. Franken was a great wrestler back in the day, and he looks as though he's still in pretty fair shape. Coleman looks like what we used to call "a fish." I bet on a pin in less than 30 seconds.

BOOOOO! I can't stand Al Franken. I never understood why he was called a comedian and his far left loony ideals should have put him the loony bin. He's the worst there ever is and I hope he gets impeached or is forced to resign real soon. His presence in our government is bad news for this country

In 2000, the Repubs couldn't wait to obstruct allowing the people's will to be done in Florida and we got Bush...the greatest disaster to ever hit our country.

Now they want to do the same thing. Go away you f'ing neocons! We beat your asses off in the last election and just can't wait until 2010! You are not smart enough to at least fake it a bit to make it look like you give a $hit about the people but keep on with your obstructionist failed ideology that got it to where we are.
WE DO NOT WANT YOU REPUBS! Get it? -

Still smarting from November? Has to sting a little when your agenda was tossed aside pretty resoundingly. And for Obama to have the widespread appeal he has now has to be doubling rankling. And the right wonders why its being resigned to the scrap heap.

As a lefty, I admit I don't especially love Franken. While I admit that he is better than the alternative, he's not that much better.

Here in Minnesota, we actually had a choice during the democratic caucuses. A little over 40% of us wanted to go with a real progressive, but the rest kept saying that we had to support Franken because only he had the name recognition to succeed. Turns out Franken did much worse in Minnesota than Obama or any other democrat for state-wide office. Personally, I think Nelson-Palmyer (excuse spelling) would have wiped the floor with Coleman's a**.
Norm, "I'm going to suddenly change all my stated core beliefs so I can have a better shot at higher political office," Coleman, isn't really all that popular here in Minnesota. -
