Posted By steveogongo 7 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsA Nigerian prostitute recently died of tuberculosis in Bari. Joy Johnson, 24, didn’t go to the hospital because she feared that the medics would report her to the police.
Joy arrived at Bari from Lampedusa on 14th November last year. For about a month she stayed at the Reception Centre for Asylum seekers (Cara) in Bari Palese. She later on escaped but without documents and a job, Joy ended up working as a street prostitute along Statale 16, in the outskirts of Bari.
