For Tonette Lancaster, it just got to be too much one day -- the worry, the guilt and the money.

"Cigarettes were $6 a pack, and now it's almost $7. It's like a bill," the 30-year-old, half-a-lifetime smoker said yesterday. "I just said, 'Enough is enough.' "

    It doesn't matter. Cigarette smokers are drug addicts and like drug addicts will pay thru the nose to smoke a cigarette. It doesn't matter. I'm sure the cigarette companies are just sitting back and relaxing about this. The habit is paramount to a cigarette smoker. Only when intelligence prevails over arrogance will the number of cigarette smokers become less and less.

    With cigarrettes being rediculasly exspensive, soon smokers are going to become like crack heads. Stealing from friends and family just to get the nicotine fix. Im sure glad I finally got off of them for now over three years.

      increase will only take food off the table and gas out of the tank etc...

      bump domestic violence, crimes, shoplifting etc

      it's hard to imagine where it would actually force someone to quit
