Look, I know you don't like Obama, and you think he is ruining the country. But can you honestly say the United States has never done anything wrong?

Can you say that any country has been as good as the USA?

Why do liberals always have to put the US down. If it is such a bad country go and live elsewhere. There are a lot of people who would be very glad to trade places with you.

Thanks for taking the time to talk, Endoscopy.

I am very proud of many things about America, and that is the reason I think it is important for ALL Americans to politely point out when we threaten to (or actually do) stray from the path of being a country worthy of respect.

Simply asking of someone if they think the US has ever done anything wrong does not mean I am putting the country down. In fact, I think asking questions and discussing issues with other people, and especially our elected representatives, is the height of Patriotism. Frankly, I think people who say things like: "America, right or wrong", hurt our country.

Forrest, it is like having children - you love them, right or wrong, but you do not have to approve of their behavior.

            Thanks for replying.

How does one correct a child they love? By telling them what it is about their behavior that does not meet your approval.

Again, all I'm really saying is that criticism of our country by our citizens should never be an excuse to call them unpatriotic.

They may be wrong. They may even be arrogantly, hatefully, gleefully, wrong. But refute their facts, and don't just label them unpatriotic.

Endo has a habit of answering a question with a question...a good avoidance tactic...

Yes, I know the USA has made mistakes in the past.
The entire world is about to see many more mistakes on behalf of the USA with Obama leading the way. You can count on it.

            Thanks for the reply.

I look forward to discussing what mistakes President Obama makes, because all people make mistakes, even Presidents.

It's even possible that this expansion of the Financial Stability Forum into the Financial Stability Board is a mistake.

But even if it's a mistake, it is not the beginning of turning over US sovereignty to an international body.

It is always prudent to keep an eye on our President (and our Government), no matter what party he belongs to.

                Thanks for talking.
