Dont you feel it growin, day by day
People gettin ready for the news
Some are happy, some are sad
Oh, we got to let the music play
What the people need
Is a way to make em smile
It aint so hard to do if you know how
Gotta get a message
Get it on through
Oh now mama, dont you ask me why

Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music
Oh, oh, listen to the music

Now that brings back some memories...I sang in a band when I was a teenager and we did this song (from "Toulouse Street") and alot of songs from "The Captain and Me", my favorite Doobies album. No one in the group was older than 14. Used to open the garage door and the neighborhood kids would flock over. Mostly a mechanism to get girls. Man did it ever work.

But they had so many good ones, it's hard to pick and choose.

          Thanks for the link.
